Flying W Ranch
-
The evening of Tuesday, Dec. 1, we will head out to Flying W Ranch in Colorado Springs for a cowboy-sized chuck wagon supper and a foot-tapping western stage show by The Flying W Wranglers. But before all that, you’ll have time to navigate some of the authentic Western Village and play picnic games (weather permitting) such as horseshoes and bean bag toss. This working mountain cattle ranch has specialized in western food and entertainment since 1953.
Colorado Springs
- Fly in early or stay late to enjoy all that Colorado Springs has to offer. Home of the Olympic Training Center, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods and the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs is the second largest city in Colorado, welcoming over 6 million visitors each year. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, America's "highest" zoo at 6,800 feet, is just a few short miles from our conference hotel. Or go to see the nearby Seven Falls, known as "The Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado.” Many other interesting, family friendly attractions lie beneath the city's majestic snowcapped peaks and in the surrounding areas. Explore several well-known ministries' headquarters (including Compassion International and Focus on the Family), take a cog-wheel train to the top of Pike's Peak, saunter through the beautiful Garden of the Gods park and visitor's center, visit the Air Force Academy, enjoy shopping in Old Colorado City's unique boutiques, and much more.
